The April 10th episode of WWE RAW featured a surprising title change and a major heel turn after the championship match.
During a backstage segment in the first hour of RAW, Lita was shown on the floor after an attack from an unknown assailant. Trish Status and Becky Lynch showed up after the attack when Lynch started blaming Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez because they happened to be nearby but they both denied any wrongdoing. The Women’s World Tag Team Title match continued as scheduled, but Stratus substituted for the injured Lita as Lynch’s partner against challengers Morgan and Rodriguez.
New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned after Trish was rolled up and pinned by Morgan after Trish missed the Chick Kick. Corey Graves noted that it was Trish who tagged herself in during the end of the match. After the match, Becky raised Trish’s hand. Trish then attacked her from behind with a forearm to the back and the Chick Kick to add insult to injury.
